Sunday: 'Mildred Pierce' in Menlo

 

Salon Menlo will celebrate on Sunday the fictional and cinematic character Mildred Pierce through film clips from the 1945 Joan Crawford film and readings from the 1941 James Cain novel.

Nick Szegda and Lauren John will lead the free discussion program in the Menlo Park Recreation Center at 701 Laurel St. in Menlo Park. The program runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 5.
