Today: Simitian holds sidewalk office hours

Meet and greet state Sen. Joe Simitian, D-Palo Alto, at the Menlo Park Farmers' Market on Sunday, June 12. No appointment required and all questions are welcome, according to the senator.

He'll be available from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot on Chestnut Street, between Santa Cruz Avenue and Menlo Avenue.

Isn't 15 June the day that Sen Joe and his cohorts in the Legislature stop receiving pay checks and per diem because the balanced budget has not been passed? Get to work- Senator.

Another hot topic comes at no surprise--the California state budget. Simitian actually missed his Palo Alto sidewalk office hours on Saturday because he was in Sacramento at a senate meeting, voting on measures related to the state budget.
