Saturday: Save the Bay one weed at a time

Save The Bay will celebrate 50 years of environmental protection and restoration with a weed-pulling party by volunteers at San Francisquito Creek from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 25. That will be followed by a "county fair-style celebration" with face painting, bean-bag toss, wetland bingo, plus a lunch, says Save the Bay.

The event is being held in partnership with the city of Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve,

T-shirts will be provided. Directions will be given upon RSVP. Call 510-452-9261, ext. 109, or click here for more information.
