Three Menlo Park break-ins during past week

Burglars bust window in Willows

As-of-yet-unidentified burglars broke the side window of a home in the 200 block of Marmona Drive in Menlo Park on Monday (Aug. 8).

The resident reported the theft around 3:15 p.m. and told police a monitor, digital camera, docking station, wifi device, iPad, jewelry, and $300 cash – worth about $7,600 total -- were missing.

The past week included two other burglary reports in Menlo Park; one in the 1100 block of Windermere Drive and another in the 1300 block of Almanor Avenue, both on Aug. 4.

If they get caught they can make an insanity plea. All they have to say is "we broke into a house on Pope Street, drank some Kool Aid and suddenly we had this intense desire to redistribute wealth".
