All lanes open after 101 multi-car crash

Fve cars may have been involved

A Sig-alert that was issued this morning for a multi-vehicle crash on southbound U.S. 101 just north of Whipple Avenue in Redwood City has been canceled, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

As many as five cars may have been involved in the crash, which was reported at 5:33 a.m. The alert was canceled at 6:23 a.m. after it was issued at 5:56 a.m., according to CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett.

There were minor injuries from the crash, Bartlett said.

All lanes were blocked at one point, but all lanes are now open.
