Tonight: Talk on 'repeat photography' in geological research

 

USGS hydrologist Robert Webb will explain the uses and techniques of repeat photography -- repeatedly photographing the same scene, such as a glacier or a forest, to detect changes over time -- in a free lecture open to the public on Thursday, Aug. 25.

The talk, "Through the Lens of Time," is set for 7 p.m. in the Building 3 auditorium of the U.S. Geological Survey campus at 345 Middlefield Road in Menlo Park.
