Downed tree closes part of Eleanor Drive

'There are energized wires down in the area'

A downed tree and a utility pole fire have caused the closing of the 200 and 300 blocks of Eleanor Drive in Woodside, the Sheriff's Office reported at 9:34 morning.

The street will remain closed until PG&E repairs the pole and its wiring, the county said in an email alert.

"There are energized wires down in the area," the alert says. "Treat all downed wires as dangerous and do not go near them."

The Sheriff's Office recommends that drivers use alternate routs to avoid Eleanor Drive.
