Lanes reopened after I-280 injury accident

 

A Sig-alert issued after an injury-accident was blocking three lanes on southbound Interstate 280 near Portola Valley was canceled Thursday morning (Sept. 8), according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported at 1:53 a.m. just north of Alpine Road, with a vehicle on its side and its airbags deployed. An alert was issued at 2:10 a.m. Blocked lanes were open by 2:33 a.m. and the alert was canceled, CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.

Someone in the accident suffered a moderate injury. Van Eckhardt said there were reports of ankle pain.
