Hale, Dillon top the All-PAL Bay Division boys' water polo team

 

The top offensive player and top defensive player on the the top boys' water polo team in the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division not too surprisingly earned top honors on the 2011 all-league team.

Menlo School senior Nick Hale was named the Player of the Year while guiding the Knights to a 5-0 league record and their 16th straight PAL crown -- the 18th in the past 19 years. Fellow senior Connor Dillon, who sparked both the offense and defense with his big saves and pin-point outlet passes, was named Goalie of the Year.

Menlo also placed seniors Brad Haaland and Jack Lucas plus junior Alexander Carlisle on the All-PAL first team while Menlo-Atherton earned two spots -- senior goalie Alex Gow and junior Morgan Olson-Fabbro -- as the Knights and Bears corralled all but two berths.
