Tonight: Bike commission looks at Facebook EIR

Given the Menlo Park Bicycle Commission's desire to have bicyclists boldly go wherever they may go in the city, it's no surprise that the commissioners want to study the draft environmental impact report (DEIR) for Facebook's campus development plans.

They start doing so tonight, with a staff presentation of the report. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the main conference room at the civic center at 701 Laurel St.

The DEIR and other associated reports are available here.

Would be nice if the city would connect the Bay Trail near the Dumbarton Bridge to the Bay Trail along San Francisquito Creek. That would create a much safer route for bicyclists than the present route along University Ave.
