Update on Hillview Middle School construction

 

In an update on the Hillview Middle School construction project in Menlo Park, the facilities director said the contractor plans to begin work at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, to lift mechanical units and roofing material onto the performing arts building.

The work at 1100 Elder Ave. in Menlo Park was scheduled on Saturday because the crane lifting the equipment will be positioned on the existing school, said Ahmad Sheikholeslami, facilities director for the Menlo Park City School District.

He said the project is on schedule, with plans to move into the new facilities in July 2012, and the school opening on Sept. 4, 2012. The existing school will then be demolished and a new field constructed, he said.
