Menlo Park’s “housing element” has made the news all year, but what exactly is a housing element? The Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County is hosting a workshop on Thursday, Sept. 12, to answer that question.
The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation at 1300 El Camino Real in San Mateo. Josh Abrams, a consultant at Community Planning Collaborative, will give an overview of housing elements and discuss key aspects of the update process.

there needs to be quite a few of these meetings about housing. there once was a middle-class on the peninsula. hope that something substantial is accomplished in this forum. what about it? affordable housing? huh?
