A street protest over a White House proposal to bomb government installations in Syria in retaliation for the use of chemical weapons came to Menlo Park Monday, Sept. 9, on El Camino Real outside Cafe Borrone.
Menlo Park resident Janice Savage organized the protest. “I was just hoping that people would come out and express frustration about ‘Are we going to do the same old thing and not talk about options?’ that has happened every single time,” Ms. Savage said, referring to conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.
