Tonight: Menlo Park council looks at El Camino Real lane configuration

Following labor negotiations in closed session tonight, the Menlo Park City Council will get an update on state legislation, including high-speed rail issues, from State Sen. Jerry Hill (D-San Mateo).

Other items on the agenda: The council will discuss whether to seek proposals to look at possible reconfigurations of El Camino Real by adding a bike or through lane on El Camino Real between Sand Hill Road and Encinal Avenue and a right-turn lane on northbound Ravenswood Avenue. It will also consider whether to form a small business commission.

The regular council meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the Civic Center at 701 Laurel St. Go to the city's website to review the entire agenda and associated staff reports.
