Menlo Park: Burglars get away with safe, cash

Burglars broke into Lulu's Mexican Food restaurant at 3539 Alameda de las Pulgas in West Menlo Park and got away with an $800 safe and $10,540 in cash, according to an Oct. 7 report from the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies are looking for two suspects who revisited the restaurant two more times after the initial break-in. The report has a time stamp of 7:06 a.m.

The break-in and subsequent revisits occurred between Sunday and Monday, Oct. 6 and 7, deputies said.

Detectives are investigating and are not releasing details as to how they acquired what information they have about the case.

Lulu's on the Alameda is one of four Lulu's restaurants in the area. The others are at Town & Country Village in Palo Alto, on Main Street in Los Altos, and on Laurel Street in San Carlos.

Wow, do you really think it was wise to be explicit about the amount taken? That's a lot of $$! Does anyone see a problem with this report?
