Suspect arrested in shooting of 17-year-old boy

A suspect in the Oct. 5 shooting of a 17-year-old East Palo Alto youth has been arrested, according to police.

The victim, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inflicted at about 2:10 p.m., was found by East Palo Alto police in the 2500 block of Farrington Way north of University Avenue near Gloria Way. He was transported to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives identified a suspect and arrested the person on Oct. 6. Police are not releasing the suspect's name or gender, since the investigation is ongoing, they said. The suspect was booked into San Mateo County Jail on attempted homicide charges.
