Open space district holds 'vision plan' workshops


The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District is holding several workshops on the district's "vision plan" for protecting open space preserves while making them available for public use.

The workshop schedule:

■ Los Gatos Foothills and Sierra Azul Regions -- Monday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Baltic Rooms A and B at West Valley College at 14000 Fruitvale Ave. in Saratoga.

■ Skyline and Central Coastal Mountains Regions - Saturday, Nov. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Skyline Field Office at

21150 Skyline Blvd. in La Honda.

■ Peninsula Foothills and Skyline Regions -- Monday, Nov. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the multipurpose room at Graham Middle School at 1175 Castro St. in Mountain View.

■ Peninsula Foothills and Baylands Regions -- Saturday, Nov. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the Fair Oaks Community Center at 2600 Middlefield Rd. in Redwood City.

The workshops will include light refreshments. People with disabilities and in need of assistance should contact the district at 650-691-1200 at least 48 hours ahead of the meeting.
