Update: PV 'shelter in place' lifted; man found

The "shelter in place" advisory for residents in the area of Alpine Road and Indian Crossing in Portola Valley has been canceled, and the man sheriff's deputies were searching for tonight on the trails behind Corte Madera School has been found.

The Sheriff's Office conducted a "law enforcement action" on the trails in the Alpine Road/Indian Crossing area, searching for a 49-year-old Asian man seen wearing a blue parka with a hood, an OES bulletin said.

"If you see the subject don't approach, but please dial 911," the bulletin said. The original bulletin asked nearby residents to shelter in place.

Details are unavailable at this time. The Almanac will update this report as information becomes available.
