Menlo Park: Pickup carrying rocks, concrete flips on U.S. 101

A pickup truck flipped on U.S. 101 this afternoon, blocking three lanes of the highway and seriously injuring the driver, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The truck was hauling rocks and bags of concrete when it hit the center divider and overturned at about 3:45 p.m. near the Marsh Road off-ramp to southbound U.S. 101, the CHP said.

An ambulance was called and a Caltrans sweeper was requested to remove concrete spilled on the roadway, according to the CHP.
