Today: Pajama Party Adopt-a-thon

By Scott Delucchi, Peninsula Humane Society.

Odette, a 65-pound, 3-year-old, with an adorable, wrinkled face and a passion for belly rubs, is among the 200 or so dogs, cats, bunnies and other animals that will be available during the Peninsula Humane Society's Pajama Party Adopt-a-thon on Saturday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to midnight, at 1450 Rollins Road in Burlingame.

Come in your jammies. If you donate a blanky for our shelter animals, your adoption will be free (except for puppies and kittens under 6 months). Wag Hotels is giving a free night's stay in one of their pet boarding facilities for our adopters.

We'll have movies and popcorn, and we'll feature adoption pics on our Facebook page as they happen.

Odette needs a strong owner with some prior experience. She gets along with similarly sized male dogs, but is not the ideal choice for a family with small children.

The Pajama Party Adopt-a-thon sounds like a wonderful family event. With more than 200 animals there everyone should be able to adopt a friend. I do wish i wasnt working on Saturday.
