Sacred Heart Prep senior Daniel Hill and Menlo School senior Lizzie Lacy each won individual honors at the first West Bay Athletic League cross-country meet of the season on Wednesday at San Bruno Mountain Park.

Lacy shattered the girls’ course record with a time of 16:49 over the 2.8-mile layout. She eclipsed the previous mark of 17:09 set by Kat Gregory of Priory in 2011. Lacy finished well ahead with Harker’s Niki Iyer, second in 17:28.

Priory junior Hana Marsheck was seventh in 19:00 and Pinewood senior Nicole Colonna was eighth in 19:07. Menlo was third in the team race with 94 points, trailing King’s Academy (59) and Crystal Springs (66).

Hill, meanwhile, led the Gators to the boys’ team title (29 points) by winning easily in 14:49. Freshman Robert Miranda of Menlo was third in 15:22, senior Ross Corey of Priory was fourth in 15:32 with senior Garrett Mack and junior Sasha Novitsky of SHP finishing fifth and sixth, respectively, in 15:32 and 15:34.

The Gators had all five scorers finish among the top 10 as August Howell was eighth in 15:36 and Brett Anstrom ninth in 15:42.

Menlo junior Dennis Mandudzo was 11th in 15:59 and Priory’s Robert Screven was 16th in 16:28.
