A 13-year-old girl out jogging in Atherton was followed by a white man in a dark gray Toyota Prius for about 40 minutes on Monday, Dec. 22, Atherton police reported. The incident occurred from around 7:50 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
The girl noticed the man, whom she described as unshaven and of medium build, and wearing a red and blue beanie cap and dark sunglasses, at the intersection of Park Lane and Camino al Lago, police said.
The girl said she saw the man taking photos of her, but he did not try to speak to her or get out of his car, police said.

Recently a poster (whom I will not name) stated that no police is better than the current police. Almanac left this quote up. I would argue that this is the definition of we need police. Think about your daughter in this situation and think about someone who is following her…. Maybe this guy is legit, although he should have notified her, but I would argue that a cop stopping someone who fits this is reasonable cause
