Woodside: County Mounted Patrol adds nine members

Nine men have been sworn in as new members of the Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County at the organization's Woodside headquarters and grounds at 521 Kings Mountain Road.

In a ceremony on Dec. 15, Mounted Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson swore in Larick Hill, Jay Kelly Veach, Emmet Brophy, Elliot Schaffer, Marshall Hydorn, Paul Pittman, Bob Garcia, James Cutsinger and David Pejcha, according to a Patrol statement.

The new members of this men-only club have already been active in the organization, including at the Patrol's junior rodeo, pumpkin festival and Christmas party.

They also participated in the Fall Ride at the Little Antelope Pack Station south of Reno, for "a true test" of equestrian capabilities, the statement said.
