Veteran housing breaks ground in Menlo Park on Monday

A 60-unit, 40,000-square foot apartment complex to provide affordable housing for veterans is set to break ground on Monday, Feb. 9, at the Menlo Park campus of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Located at 795 Willow Road, the project is funded by a variety of public donors, including the city of Menlo Park and San Mateo County. Willow Housing L.P. leased the approximately two acres of land for free from the VA, and plans to complete construction in December 2015.

The VA Palo Alto Health Care System consists of three inpatient facilities located in Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Livermore.
