Menlo Park: Belle Haven grants available

Applications are being taken until April 7 for the 2015 Belle Haven Mini-Grant program.

Administered by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the $500 or $1,000 grants may be used to improve the Belle Haven neighborhood.

Projects awarded funding in 2014 included the replacement of hedges dating back to the 1940s with new drought-tolerant landscaping, and construction of a fence around a yard where children play.

An information session will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Onetta Harris Community Center at 100 Terminal Ave.
