Senior Stephan Page has been named Woodside High School student of the week for his leadership of the school's team in a Millard Fillmore Trivia contest the weekend of Jan. 31-Feb. 1.

Woodside's small team was in the lead for awhile and that was a "tribute to Stephan's spirit of adventure to go on no matter the bumps in the road," according to Millard Fillmore Trivia adviser and librarian Anne Ken.

Stephan, who has been active in the school's Fillmore club since his freshman year, participates in other extracurricular activities, including cross-country, track, and playing in the Woodside orchestra.

His senior thesis is on a particularly relevant topic: "Polarization in the U.S. Government."

In college, he would like to study "something in which medicine and politics go hand in hand," and he's pondering a major in public health. His top college picks are Tufts, American (in Washington, D.C.) and the University of Southern California.
