Portola Valley seeks nominees for first 'Environmental Champ' award

 

Portola Valley is looking for nominees for its first annual Environmental Champion award.

Deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Friday, March 20, at Town Hall at 765 Portola Road. Nominations may be emailed to towncenter@portolavalley.net. Posthumous nominations are acceptable.

Nominees should have made "significant contributions toward protecting and augmenting our rural environment, native plants, trees, wildlife, creeks, and/or landscapes," the town said.

The award will be announced at the Woodside-Portola Valley Earth Fair on Saturday, March 28, at the grounds of the Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County at 521 Kings Mountain Road in Woodside.
