How to register your kindergartner

Four local elementary school districts -- Woodside, Portola Valley, Las Lomitas and Menlo Park City -- have announced kindergarten registration procedures.

In all four districts, children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1 are eligible to attend kindergarten. In the Woodside and Portola Valley districts, children who turn 5 between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2 are eligible to register for a two-year transitional kindergarten program.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Las Lomitas will have two kindergarten sessions: from 9 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. and from 10:15 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. Session requests will be taken by email or regular mail.
