Occupy Woodside: Town's streets taken over by ... roses

It's time for the annual invasion of climbing roses

It's enough to take your breath away -- it's the time of year when climbing roses bloom by the hundreds in many of the trees lining Woodside's streets.

There are yellow Lady Banks roses, the Gold of Ophir, which at one time was in so many trees on Albion Avenue it was called the Albion Rose, and the white Fortunianas, which the Sunset Garden book says are often sold as white Lady Banks, but aren't really.
