Menlo Park man arrested in connection with multiple gunshots

A report of gunshots sent Menlo Park police officers to Chilco Street during the pre-dawn hours of Friday, April 24.

Around 4:37 a.m. the officers went to the 1300 block of Chilco Street, and proceeded to Hamilton and Plumas avenues, where a caller had heard additional shots. The officers themselves then heard approximately four gunshots in the vicinity of Modoc Avenue, according to the report.

When officers arrived in the 1400 block of Modoc Avenue, they spotted a solitary figure walking along the street, who turned out to be Isileli Lolohea, a 29-year-old Menlo Park resident, according to the report.

Police said they found a gun at his feet and small caliber shell casings on a nearby sidewalk. Mr. Lolohea was arrested for related firearms charges and allegedly being drunk in public, according to the report.

The police ask that anyone with information call 330-6300 or the anonymous tip line at 330-6395.
