School board to vote on job description and Burmeister appointment

The governing board of the Menlo Park City School District is scheduled to discuss the job description for an assistant superintendent and to consider appointing Erik Burmeister, currently the principal at Hillview Middle School, to the position at 1 p.m. on April 27.

The meeting will be in the district offices TERC building, 181 Encinal Avenue, Atherton. The assistant superintendent job is the only item on the agenda.

The position doesn't currently exist in the district, but has in the past. Total compensation, including salary and benefits, for the position would be just under $215,000.

Mr. Burmeister came to Hillview from the Union Middle School in San Jose in August 2012.
