Monday: Rotary Club holds scholastic achievement ceremony

The Rotary Club of Menlo Park will hold its annual Scholastic Achievement Awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday, May 18, at the Menlo-Atherton High School Performing Arts Center.

Awards will be given to students from four local high schools: Menlo-Atherton High School, Sacred Heart Preparatory, Menlo School and Eastside College Preparatory.

College scholarships from the Rotary Club of Menlo Park Foundation will also be announced at the ceremony. Last year more than $125,000 in need-based scholarships was awarded.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which usually draws more than 400 people. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Richard A. Moran, president of Menlo College.
