Tonight: Menlo Park council meets again on city budget

 

The Menlo Park City Council will hold a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, to consider and adopt an operating budget and capital improvement program for the fiscal year starting July 1.

At its meeting on June 16, the council directed City Manager Alex McIntyre to return with a budget that balances planned spending with anticipated revenues.

Mr. McIntyre had proposed a budget that would have the city spending more than it takes in for the next three years, largely to pay for new employees to help process development projects.
