Firefighters respond to grass fire on Bear Gulch Road near Skyline Boulevard

 

Firefighters are headed to a grass fire in the vicinity Skyline Boulevard and Bear Gulch Road in Woodside.

The fire is currently between a quarter to one acre in size, and located on Bear Gulch Road about 1/4 mile in from Skyline, dispatchers said.

Included in the response so far are a helicopter, two tankers, two bulldozers, two engine companies and a water tender, dispatchers said.

One engine company is on the scene.

The fire was reported at 1:11 p.m.

Firefighters are attributing the fire to sparks from a mowing machine cutting the grass along a roadside.
