Atherton's Civic Center Advisory Committee meeting Monday

Staff, consultants available to public before meeting

Atherton's Civic Center Advisory Committee will meet today, July 6, at 4:30 p.m. in the town's council chambers at 94 Ashfield Road to give advice to the architects designing the town's new civic center.

The architects and consultants working on the project as well as town staff will also be available before the meeting to answer any questions or take suggestions from the public beginning at 4 p.m.

On the agenda is a review of the final conceptual plan for the civic center, which will guide the architects from WRNS Studio in going ahead with more detailed design of the complex.

The committee will also receive reports on the status of the environmental report on the project and negotiations with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission over an old 36-inch water line that crosses the property and has complicated the placement of buildings on the town property.

The committee is looking for a new member to replace Phil Lively, who died on June 12. Call 650-752-0529 for more information.
