Sunday: Open house at Djerassi artists grounds

For one day each year, the Djerassi Artists Barn and private grounds in Woodside are open to the public. This year visitors may meet the resident artists and scientists, and walk the stunning landscape from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 19.

There will be open studios, dance and music performances, and literary readings, as well as self-guided tours of the sculpture collection located on winding trails amid the redwoods.

Returning this year, members of the Woodside Plein Air Painting Group will be stationed along the trails painting scenes of the landscape. Light refreshments will be served.

General admission is $50 per person, $25 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Reservations are required; tickets will be held at the door.

Visit djerassi.org for more information. The artists program is located at 2325 Bear Gulch Road West in Woodside.
