Smoke from Lake County fires now in San Mateo County

Please don't call 911, officials say

San Mateo County's Office of Emergency Services wants local residents to know that the drifting smoke that seems to be settling over the county, including Pacifica, Montara, Half Moon Bay, Skylonda and Woodside, is from the fires in Lake County and elsewhere and may hang around for a while.

"Emergency services in your communities are aware of the situation," an alert from the county says.

All of San Mateo County fire services calls can be seen online at firedispatch.com
