New Woodside preschool building opens

 

Woodside Elementary School's new two-classrooom preschool building opened on Sept. 21 with a ribbon-cutting.

The building was finished on time and on budget, according to district Superintendent Beth Polito.

The preschool was the first to be completed of three new buildings on the Woodside Elementary campus. The $3.3 million preschool project was funded with $2 million in private donations, nearly $1.15 million in fund from a school bond measure and close to $190,000 in developer fees.

The preschool charges tuition and gives priority to district residents.
