The Rotary Club of Menlo Park and Facebook will host a book giveaway at the Belle Haven Community Garden at 261 Ivy Drive on Saturday, Oct. 10, from noon to 3 p.m.

Used books for children ages 1 to 18 will be given out to those who attend the event, which will also feature live music, food and children’s activities.

The event is free for Menlo Park residents. Books that are not given away at the end of the day will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula.

According to Michelle Tsui, president of the Rotary Club of Menlo Park, “We have been getting overwhelming responses from the community – both from book donors and also organizations that need books.”

The Menlo Park Public Library and Belle Haven Library have also donated hundreds of books, she said.
