Missing Atherton SUV found in Utah Monday

Red Mercedes SUV stolen from McCormick Lane

A red Mercedes SUV stolen from a McCormick Lane driveway over the weekend was found in Utah on Monday, Oct. 26, according to the Atherton Police Department.

Police said the vehicle was stolen after someone broke into a McCormick Lane home sometime between 4 p.m. Friday, Oct.23, and 10:35 a.m. Sunday, Oct.25, grabbed a car key and made off with the vehicle.

Someone threw a rock through a side window and was able to then open an adjacent side door from the inside, police said.

The key to the 2014 Mercedes GLK 350 SUV appears to be the only thing missing from the house, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Atherton Police Department at (650) 688-6500.
