Monday: Talk on raising happy and successful digital age children

Richard Freed, PhD will challenge myths about technology

Richard Freed, a child and adolescent psychologist and author of "Wired Child: Reclaiming Childhood in a Digital Age," will speak Monday, Nov. 16, at Las Lomitas School, 299 Alameda de las Pulgas in Atherton, on how to raise happy and successful children in the digital age.

The free evnet, which begins at 7 p.m. in Cano Hall, is open to all adults and sponsored by the Las Lomitas PTA.

Dr. Freed will share practical strategies to build a strong family and foster school success in an age of distracting devices.

He will offer arguments on why popular myths are untrue, including that technology brings families closer together, that technology isn't addictive, and that kids understand tech better than their parents.

Pre-register online.
