Residents concerned about herbicide spraying plan to meet with Senator Hill

Java with Jerry is Saturday in Pescadero

Residents protesting Caltrans' spraying herbicides along the highways running through their neighborhoods say they will show up for a coffee Saturday, Nov. 21, with state Sen. Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, to share their concerns.

The event will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Pescadero Country Store, 251 Stage Road in Pescadero.

An announcement on Sen. Hill's website says: "He'll provide the coffee at no taxpayer expense." No appointment or reservation is necessary.

Opponents of the roadside spraying say they will present Sen. Hill with a petition against the spraying signed by more than 500 people online or in person.

Is there any follow up on this meeting? I did not hear of it until afterwards, could we have more of these and get our politicians involved?
