Dick Raymond, Portola Institute founder, dies at 91

Dick Raymond died Sept. 16 at his home in Lake Oswego, Oregon, at the age of 91. A former resident of Menlo Park, Mr. Raymond was the founder of Portola Institute, an incubator of Stewart Brand's Whole Earth Catalog.

He is survived by his wife, Carole, his children, TM, Megan, Kit, Jonathan, and Camela; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
