Late 3-pointer lifts Menlo women to GSAC hoops victory

 

Vanessa D'Amico hit a 3-pointer with 26 seconds remaining to play to give Menlo College the lead for good in a 77-73 victory over visiting San Diego Christian in a Golden State Athletic Conference women's basketball game Thursday night.

D'Amico's field goal gave the Oaks (9-9, 2-3 GSAC) a 74-73 edge. She later hit one of two foul shots and Emma Briggs put the game out of reach with a pair of free throws in the final five seconds. Read the story here.
