Sunday: Roller rink celebrates 60 years

Celebrating its 60 years in Redwood City, the public is invited to a free open skate and community open house from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at the Redwood Roller Rink, 1303 Main St.

The event, hosted by the Peninsula Roller Girls, will include demonstrations by local speed skaters and artistic performers who compete at the world level.

Redwood Roller Rink is the last roller rink standing on the Peninsula and one of the few left in the Bay Area. It is available for clubs, lessons, and private parties.
