Kienle drives in five runs to help Menlo College sweep series

Following a pair of sparkling pitching performances, the Menlo College baseball team turned to its offense to complete a three-game sweep of visiting William Jessup, beating the Warriors, 13-4, Sunday in a nonconference game played at Gunn High.

The Oaks (3-0) opened the season with a pair of one-run victories Saturday at Valley Christian in San Jose. Ashkon Kuhalua and Skylar Fuss combined to throw a one-hit shutout in the first game. Thomas Cox, Brian Ransom, Cruz Daddario and Mack Boone combined to toss a seven-hitter, allowing two earned runs in a 4-3 walk-off victory in the second game. Read the story here.
