BNY Mellon to buy Menlo Park investment firm

 

Menlo Park-based Atherton Lane Advisers LLC, an investment management firm, has entered into an agreement to be acquired by BNY Mellon and become part of BNY Mellon Wealth Management.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed and the sale is expected to close by April, BNY Mellon said in its Jan. 20 announcement.

Founded in 2005, Atherton Lane Advisers has about $2.7 billion in assets under management "serves about 700 high net worth clients," BNY Mellon said.

Atherton Lane Advisers co-founders Perry Olson, Janet Littlefield and Gary Patterson will join BNY Mellon Wealth Management, with Mr. Olson assuming a senior leadership role, the company said.
