Menlo Park: Police investigate hit-and-run crash

Police in Menlo Park are looking for a vehicle that is believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred around 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at Willow Road and U.S. 101.

A blue Honda rear-ended a blue 2011 Subaru Outback stopped in heavy traffic eastbound on Willow Road. The Subaru then rear-ended a white 2007 Chevrolet Malibu, police said.

The drivers of the Subaru and the Malibu complained of pain, but there was no report of anyone being taken to the hospital, police said.

The driver of the Honda left the scene of the accident without identifying himself or providing insurance information, police said.

His vehicle, last seen heading east on Willow Road, is believed to be a Honda Accord or Honda Civic from the early 1990s with a lowered chassis, a spoiler and a tarnished brown panel on the left side of the vehicle, police said.

Police described the driver as a white man in his 40s with salt-and-pepper curly hair and a beard, and wearing an orange shirt.
