Thursday workshop: Tracking children's use of Internet

A free public workshop designed to help parents guide their children's use of the Internet and social media will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at St. Raymond School, 1211 Arbor Road in Menlo Park.

The workshop will include a discussion of software that lets parents track their children's use of technology.

Menlo Park resident and parenting coach Janada Clark will speak at the "Cyber Savvy Parent" event along with Chip Stearns, a parent and Silicon Valley engineer.

Participants will be given a free year's subscription to Mr. Stearns' eyeDactic software, which tracks Internet and social media use and the location of a phone, and has an interactive forum for parents.
