Commercial burglary: Someone pried open a locked side window of the restaurant at the Allied Arts Guild at Arbor Road and Cambridge Avenue, entered the building and stole a tablet computer and $250 from an unlocked drawer. Estimated loss: $750. March 7.
Residential burglary: A resident of Hobart Street found a window smashed on the home's back door and several rooms ransacked, but no indications yet of anything having been taken. March 8.
Auto burglary: A thief smashed a window and broke into a vehicle parked at Bedwell Bayfront Park on Marsh Road and stole a purse with $200 cash inside. Estimated loss: $300. March 5.
Theft: A resident of Arbor Road bought two $1,000 money orders through MoneyGram, but said she left them in her vehicle while shopping and came back to find them gone. She tried to issue a stop-payment order, but one money order had already been cashed. March 7.
Traffic accident: The driver of a white 2001 Volvo headed west on Willow Road had a green light at Gilbert Avenue, but in turning left did not yield as required to eastbound traffic. The car collided with a bicycle and the rider was partially thrown from his bike. Medics from the Menlo Park Fire Protection District treated the cyclist for a non-life-threatening injury at the scene. March 6.
■ A bicyclist's front wheel hit a three-foot-wide trench in the 800 block of Portola Road, throwing the cyclist from the bike. Medics took the cyclist to Stanford Hospital. Feb. 4.
■ A driver crossed over the fog line on Highway 84 near the intersection with Portola Road and hit a dirt embankment that caused the vehicle to roll over onto its roof. Deputies issued a speeding citation. There were no injuries. Feb. 6.
